So I don't know why, but I like to make lists of things... I think it's a little OCD - ish.

I make a list for everything... Mostly just random things that I like to think about. Or just daily life things  -  Example:  Grocery -  , To  Do... - , Bills To Pay... - , Outgoing Mail -, Phone Numbers - , Schedule - ,   On-Line Shopping Lists, & More...

See? Those are just lists I make daily. Seems like I make a list of everything before actually going out & doing it. That's why I think it's a bit like an OCD...

Here's what I'm thinking about, now... Names. Just names I've come up with - or that I really like.

On another site, someone named their son after a name I had listed, thought that was pretty nice.

I'm going to just use my own last name...

 Realized: I mostly only like Girl Names beginning with "A" or the "A" sound... I have no idea why.

Well, last night I got on & went Recipe Crazy! Most of them are from epicurious.com  & a  couple are from Wikipedia.  Can you believe it -  Wikipedia!?!  They have some interesting recipes actually. I want to add more. But there's so many already... I guess I could make it a private entry. Yes, I could do that... But not right now. Maybe later. Too tedious a task for right now...

What do you think?

I should start a Recipe Book or maybe one of those Recipe Catalogs - you know, with the  little Recipe Cards...  Hmmm, all I have is a notebook for now. Improvise.

I especially like Mexican food, but I'll try most anything - without fish. (Allergic)

I'm trying to get into Asian food - since it's fairly healthy... depending on what it is & how much I consume...

The only thing Asian I eat right now is a really simple dish called Yaki Nori.

It's basically cooked rice, mixed with soy sauce & a raw egg. Then the rice mixture is wrapped in nori - kind of like an Onigiri.

Honey-Dew Sake Granita

4 Servings


1/2 cup sugar
the flesh of a 3-pound honeydew melon plus, if desired, 8 thin round slices of honeydew melon for garnish
1/4 cup sake
2 teaspoons fresh lime juice

Pickled Ginger and Plum-Wine Granita:
2/3 cup sugar
2 tablespoons pickled ginger slices (available at Asian markets and some supermarkets), rinsed
1/4 cup plum wine
2 drops of red food coloring if desired

In a small saucepan combine the sugar and 1-1/4 cups water and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring. In a blender purée the honeydew flesh with the syrup, the sake, and the lime juice. Transfer the mixture to 2 metal ice-cube trays without the dividers or to a shallow metal pan and freeze it, stirring and crushing the lumps with a fork every 30 minutes, for 2 to 3 hours, or until it is firm but not frozen solid. The granita may be made 2 days in advance and kept covered and frozen. Scrape the granita with a fork to lighten the texture. On each of 4 plates arrange 2 of the honeydew slices and top 1 of the slices on each plate with a scoop of the honeydew and sake granita. Top the other slices with a scoop of the pickled ginger and plum-wine granita.

A Simple Teriyaki Sauce
{ Yoshi - Yoshi }


  • 1/4 cup (2 parts) soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup (2 parts) mirin (sweetened rice wine for cooking)
  • 2 tablespoons (1 part) brown sugar
  • 1 tsp of fresh, peeled, finely chopped ginger

A litte bit of sake may also be added.


Mix everything in a 1-quart pot over low heat until the sugar dissolves.

That's it. You'll want to heat the sauce with some pre-cooked meat in it of course, or use it to marinate some raw meat overnight in the refrigerator.


  • As given, this sauce is thin. Boil some cornstarch or potato starch into it if you wish to thicken it.
  • Pineapple juice might be a reasonable mirin substitute.
  • Lime juice may also be added for a tart flavor.

Tarragon Egg Salad Sandwiches


For egg salad
8 large eggs
1/2 cup mayonnaise
3 tablespoons finely chopped shallot
1 1/2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh tarragon, or to taste
2 teaspoons tarragon vinegar or white-wine vinegar
1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1/4 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste

For sandwiches
Mayonnaise for spreading on bread (optional)
12 slices seedless rye bread or 6 kaiser rolls
3 cups tender pea shoots (3 oz) or shredded lettuce


Make egg salad:
Cover eggs with cold water by 1 inch in a 2-quart heavy saucepan and bring to a rolling boil, partially covered. Reduce heat to low and cook eggs, covered completely, 30 seconds. Remove pan from heat and let eggs stand in hot water, covered, 15 minutes. Transfer eggs with a slotted spoon to a bowl of ice and cold water and let stand 5 minutes (to cool). Peel eggs and finely chop.

Stir together eggs and remaining salad ingredients in a bowl with a fork.

Make sandwiches:
Spread some mayonnaise (if using) on bread and make sandwiches with egg salad.

Cooks' note:
• Egg salad can be made 1 day ahead and chilled, covered.

Pebre Salsa Recipe


  • 2 Cups of Cilantro
  • 2 Spring Onions {or Green Onions}
  • 2 Chili Peppers
  • 2 Teaspoons of Olive Oil
  • ½ Teaspoon of Salt & Pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon of White Vinegar
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1 Large Bowl
  • Water (Optional)


Chop up the Cilantro, Spring Onions (Including the Green-ish Part), Tomato & Chili Peppers and combine in a Large Bowl. Add the Salt & Pepper, Olive Oil and Vinegar. If you wish for the texture to be more saucy & less chunky - Add a couple Tablespoons of Water for juiciness.

Serving Suggestion:

Serve this Chilean salsa with a loaf of freshly baked bread for an appetizer.

Well, I didn't go to jail last night. That makes me happy! I really hate to act so... ghetto - is the word I guess. I just can't sit by & watch my Best Friend crumble. And her heart to ache... I have too much empathy for her. I know what it's like to feel that way.

Sure, Tom has broke my heart - many times before... But you know what? He is always right there to help me up again. Always. Love is such a compromise. People should really realize this...

  We've really hurt eachother very deeply in the past. I know I've said some pretty fucked up shit to him... We both have to eachother.

Probably the worst thing I have ever  said to him & regret the most is when I told him I wasn't sure if I really loved him... And this is just after he found out that I didn't believe in love-at-first-sight, & that's what he's always told me. He said the first time he saw me, he just knew I was the one he wanted to be with forever. For some reason, I just couldn't believe that at the time... It didn't make any sense to me. But, I digress, when I said that I wasn't sure if I really loved him... The look on his face. And then he just cried. He couldn't even look at me & he began crying hysterically. I felt  so bad. Shame on me, how selfish of me to say something like that to him - when I knew how much he really loved me. Even if I didn't believe  him, how cruel & inconsiderate for me to say this. Me, I hurt him worst than anyone... Yet somehow, he still loves me. I must be that lucky. But, I don't think I can ever forgive myself for doing this to him. And this happened almost 5 years ago. It still haunts me.

Let's see... The worst he's ever made me feel... I guess, was when he was away in college - he proposed to me over the  phone. Some days later, we were arguing & he says "I can't believe I ever wanted to marry you..." I never want to get married, now. Ever. A white dress makes me nauseous. I hope he never proposes to me again, I have no idea what I would say... "I want to be with you forever, but I don't want to get married..." ???  What kind of sense does that make? Non Sense... Eeeww, I feel all emotional now. Weak.

Poor Veronica...

Some bitch keeps answering her man's phone & saying, "He's asleep - he don't want to talk to you." And she says it sounds like he's at a restaurant in the background... Earlier he told her he was at some wing place with his friends. She said she is so pissed off she is shaking.

Now she's on her way to pick me up & we're going up to that restaurant. I'm probably about to have to back her up in a fight. What are friends for, right.

Hope the douche bag knows how to street fight - we come dirty. We come gangster...

I just hope we don't go to jail tonight... That would be shitty.
